When Pigs Fly!

Raymond tells me that I should rename my business "The Pig Shop" because I sell so many of these little guys. I have probably sold about 20 of him; I have made four of him in just the past two days.
My inspiration for my little flying pig is the major changes that have happened in my life over the past couple of years. I finally had another baby after 2 1/2 years of infertility, I quit my day job and I started my own business. So this little guy is a reminder to me that the impossible does happen. I hope your impossible dreams come true too!

Do you like green eggs and ham?

"Say!
I like green eggs and ham!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-am!

And I would eat them in a boat.
And I would eat them with a goat...
And I will eat them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good, so good, you see!"

"I do so like
green eggs and ham!
Thank you!
Thank you,
Sam-I-am!"
And thank you to one of my all-time favorite authors, Dr. Suess.

Introducing Uni the Unicorn!

This is the project that I made last night. She is just my prototype. I made too many mistakes while I was making her to sell her in my Etsy shop, but I think she turned out cute.
It was my first time making an animal with movable joints, but I liked how they turned out, so I will totally be doing it again.
Since I won't be selling her, I bribed Katie into babysitting for a little bit this morning so that I could sleep in. I told her that I would give her a unicorn for watching the baby. I can't believe that she agreed to it because she is such a tomboy and not a fan of unicorns at all! I guess that is not as amazing as last week when her and Patrick cleaned out the entire refridgerator for a pack of gum. Not a pack of gum each, one pack of gum to share. And I got the gum free with a coupon. Listen up parents: If you deprive your kids of gum through their entire childhood, it makes a great bribery tool when they are in their early teens.

Welcome to my blog!

I am officially entering the world of the bloggers. I'm very new to this, so please bear with me.
I decided to start this blog to show off some of my work to all of you out there in cyberspace. I would love to get your comments, feedback and even some consructive criticism. (I will try not to cry!)
I am a crazy crocheter. (Is that a word?) After the birth of my most recent baby, I decided to quit my day job and start a business selling my crochet creations, so now I am a crazy and poor crocheter. You can check out my online shop at http://www.nadiasplace.etsy.com/.
